PDD Friday!

One week from today we'll get to share our new release projects! :) In the meantime... I noticed last week that the SCS sketch was perfect for using some small Studio G stamps. I decided to use a BBQ theme with some red & orange/yellow. The yellow border was punched with a border punch from EK. I just LOVE that one, it cuts the large scallops & embosses lines at the same time.

So here's my take on the sketch:

I used Nesties to cut the squares & scalloped squares for the stamps. The jewels are Doodlebug.
Thanks for stopping! I'll have another PDD project Wed & than New Releases on Fri!!!

QKD Royal Wednesday Blog Hop!

This weeks challenge was a special project challenge to make a summer themed box. What's more summer than Lemonade!? I made this cute mini pizza box with some sparkly lemons to hold individual packets of lemonade mix for a little gift!

These little pizza boxes are so easy, once you make one you'll find yourself doing them all the time! There's a tutorial under resourses at SCS.
If you want to take some inspiration from the hop and make your own box of any type, check out the QKD blog and link your project at a chance to win a prize!
If you didn't start at the beginning of the hop, you can start at the QKD blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
Now hop on over to Kelly Jean for your next inspiration!

PTI Blog Hop!

This month the challenge was to use text. I just love these text flowers I have from Heidi Grace, so I wanted to use that and decided to layer it on larger flowers as the main focus of my card. I used PTI sentiments all over the card front in Dark Chocolate underneith my flowers.

Thanks for stoppin!

QKD Inspiration Challenge Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Queen Kat Designs Wednesday challenge blog hop! If you haven't been following the hop, you can start at the beginning at the QKD blog.

This week's challenge is a photo inspiration challenge. This is the photo we used as inspiration:

The first thing that jumped out to me was that great stripe beach towel ( I love stripes and polka dots!) so that's what I used as my inspiration, and here's my card:

Now hop on over to Kelly Jean for your next inspiration!

PDD Friday!

Time for PDD Friday! Make sure to check out all the Pez-A-Doodle girls and see what they've been up to as well!

I'm going to be working on a bunch of projects for all the new releases coming out soon - I just can't wait to share them & see what everyone else comes up with because it's such a great release!

For today, I used a Studio G floral stamp stamped 4 times to frame a circle. I cut the circle out first and than stamped around the edges and mounted on a scalloped circle. I used copics to color in the flowers. I used that cute flower button I found as color inspiration for my entire card!

If you haven't already, go check out the new goodies up for pre-sale at Pez-A-Doodle from Studio G as well as the new White Flower Soft coming soon!

PDD Wednesday!!!

***2nd post of the day... scroll down for QKD bloghop!***

Today I decided to play with some Tim Holtz goodies! I used one of the new TH mini masks Florets. For the color, I used 2 distress re-inkers (blue & green) mixed with water in the mini misters. After using the color sprays, I used a spray of Pearl Perfect Pearls mixed with water.

I than stamped a TH clear stamp text over everything with Tea Dye Distress Ink Pad.

To finish it off I stamped the LOVE from the same clear stamp set in Brushed Corduroy, distressed the edges a bit and mounted onto my card.

I didn't want the masks to be such a crisp image, I wanted the whole thing to look a little more worn, so I used a natural white cardstock with flecks and sprayed heavily so some of the ink would run under the mask edges as well as soften up the paper.

Thanks for stopping by! Go check out the other Pezzy girls today and see what they've been playing with!

QKD Royal Wednesday Blog Hop!

Hello! Thanks for hopping through the QKD Royal Wednesday Blog Hop! If you didn't come here from the QKD blog, you can start from their and make your way through the hop.

This week was a color challenge: red, orange, yellow & lime green. As soon as I saw the colors I thought right away of the new summer Cosmo Cricket papers which I LOVE:

I wanted to repeat lots of circles in representation of bubbles, so I used that great polka dot EK border punch on a blue strip, a row of sewn on buttons, the image punched and mounted on a scalloped circle as well as the dots on the patterned papers.

I used the Beach Essentials set for the cute board shorts image.

Now, hop on over to Helene for your next stop on the hop! :)

Christmas In July!

I used a new QKD Christmas stamp set for my QKD blog post today. I realized as I was making it that this Christmas is now closer than last. Hard to believe! Well, the sooner the better to start getting ready for the holidays! I used the Fancy Christmas Stamp Set tree, sentiment & branch all stamped in red. PTI papers and ribbon.

Thanks for stoppin! Mabey this will cool you off on a hot July day!

PDD Wednesday!!!

***2nd post of the day - scroll down for QKD bloghop***

It's PDD Wednesday & today I wanted to play along with the Paper Craft Planet Studio G group challenge. If you own or collect Studio G stamps and haven't checked it out - you must! There is a new challenge every 2 weeks, fun, prizes and lots of inspiration.

Right now the challenge is a color challenge for red, white & blue. One great thing about Studio G is that it's great if you're looking for something small, like a sentiment for a particular holiday but you don't want to spend $20 on an entire stamp set.

For my card, I used this weeks CPS sketch, some star & rocket dies and a Studio G sentiment.

Thanks for stopping, make sure to check out the other Pezzy girls today & Friday!

QKD New Release Blog Hop!!!

It's time for a Queen Kat Designs new release & that means... blog hop time! :)

If you didn't come here from Bev, you can start back at the QKD blog to make sure you don't miss anything! :)

Today, I used the new Crane set along with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. There are lots of fun ways to use this set with the different words and symbols! I went for very simple with the actual image to just let the great outline show.

Now, hop on over to Taylor to continue the hop!
